Friends of the Library San Marcos is a volunteer-run used bookstore that resells donated books. All proceeds are used to purchase new books and fund crafts and programs for the San Marcos Library. Explore our vast selection of pre-loved titles and support your local library.

We have a large collection of used books, including a large selection of young children's books and teen books. We also offer CD's, DVDs and vinyl records. Come in and see our selection!

Our Purpose
At Friends of the library San Marcos, our purpose is to raise funds in support of the San Marcos library. We sell gently used books to the public to raise money to pay for ongoing activies and services provided by the Library. We gave over $20,000 to the library for county matching funds and ongoing San Marcos Library programs and events.
About Us
We are a non-profit, all volunteer organization and welcome new volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please pick up an application at the bookstore or from a Library staff member.
